The Dunlap Chamber of Commerce.The Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to "improving the quality of life for Sequatchie County”. Our city and county government work together to promote economic and social growth within the community. Planned development includes a 110-acre Industrial park just north of Highway 111 on U.S. 127. This site will provide excellent venue and is just minutes to major ports for water, rail, or air in nearby Chattanooga.

Urban and rural growth is thought out and planned with care to preserve our natural surroundings. The ease of travel and close proximity to larger cities offers the benefits of airports, major hospitals, shopping, colleges, and employment.

Dunlap Industry And Manufacturing
Modern industry and manufacturing of small gasoline engines, batteries, zippers, tubing, archery products and customized foam products provide a strong economic base and work for the community. Dunlap CourthouseLocal industrial support services include tool and die, sheet metal, lubricants, and welding.

Dunlap Government Information
Dunlap city government is comprised of a mayor and elected commission. County government consists of an elected County Executive and a commission representing the different districts. Both City and County provide fire and police protection and have organized development committees that oversee economic growth and urban expansion.

 

 

Dunlap Hospitals and Medical Facilities.
The North Valley Medical Plaza provides 24-hour emergency and air transport to major hospitals in Chattanooga. Local physician care for orthopedics, pediatrics, and general practice are readily available.

Education
The Sequatchie County School System is a unified district governed by nine publicly elected board members and a Director of Schools. A State Vocational Technical Training Center offers credit courses, adult education and training, and cooperative program for high school seniors. Chattanooga State Sequatchie, a branch of Chattanooga State Technical Community College, is leading the way in providing Sequatchie and Bledsoe County residents the education and job skills they need to compete in an increasingly technical workplace. Both students and local employers benefit from the programs offered at the site.
